It doesn't mean they're bad musos, in fact they're often pretty decent session players, but they're stuck in spangly suits playing shit in an effort to keep the audience drinking. Drummers are an odd lot anyway, and drummers don't form covers bands, they join them when they need the cash. I've known some session drummers playing the parks who'll go all 16:4 on a 4:4 pop song just to fight the tedium...
