Here's an idea - STOP SHOWING ENGLAND GAMES ON ITV!
Since 1982 if you watched only England World Cup matches on BBC you'd have seen 12 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats.
If you watched only matches on ITV you'd have seen 7 wins, 7 draws and 4 defeats.
(4 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats were shown on both simultaneously and have been added into both sets of figures)
So there are 2 group games on ITV exclusively and England have only won 3/10 ITV only matches since 1982 (compared to 8/13 for BBC). Solution - Listen on the radio, or do a Likely Lads.
