And as much as I wanna hate the man for the E-sure ads and whatnot, this always pops to mind and I find myself slightly forgiving of the chap.
Most of his films are fucking rubbish though.

Except Deathwish
I used to hate him too but the interview he did with that other arsehole who spends his life sucking Cowell made me warm to him quite a bit.
To be fair all I relly knew of him were some pompous soundbites and Esure.

Deathwish is kinda shit as well...
What with the acting, unconvincing thugs and suchlike... I do actually like it though.
A bit like Harry Brown but 35 years ealier. It does have the advantage of featuring the 10yr old (well, very young at least) Jeff Goldblum in it.

Yup.
I've seen that (the very uncut version you mentioned. Went for quite a bounty in the surburban highschool market back in the day) and I entirely agree. Just piss-poor, exploitative crap without the entertainment value to justify its existance.
