This is a normal post My biggest disappointment at the moment
is not having a job that pays enough to be able to get a mortgage. The only reason I want a mortgage is so that I can get my own place. The only reason why I want my own place is so that I can get a dog. I miss my dogs so much. They cheered me up every day and were so much better than my cat. A dog is probably one of the best and most caring friends you can ever have. (I sound like a bit of a lonely twat now. It's probably true as well!)

This is a normal post I see a lot of homeless people that have dogs.
So see, there's stiill hope for you ;)

Mixing cats/dogs is not always a good idea. The dogs need a clear leader of the pack and, since that is the cat, they won't respect you as much.

This is a normal post Our cat was a stray who just made her home in our home
She was very friendly, but pretty much just slept and ate at home. She wasn't a very sociable creature, so never really met the dogs. If they were in the room, she would just walk out so their paths never really crossed.

Good point on the homeless front though! I'm not sure what's better, a roof or a dog?! I guess it depends on the predominant weather in the country of habitation and the availability of food...

This is a normal post Both are tricky.
It's difficult to play 'fetch' with a roof, but then it's difficult to affix an enormous telly aerial to a dog.

This is a normal post I understand completely
Dogs are fantastic animals and shouldnt really be compared to cats they are a different type of pet completely.

Have you considered dog walking for a charity? I go a long to my local dog home and walk them and play with them. The dogs really appreciate it and they never get enough attention in these places.
