being taking a bunch of african american children to cotton fields in the south and putting them to work (think what a lot of the slaves used to be forced to work as down there in the south).

I'm fairly sure they take kids of all races to the same place. Would it be better if the country just swept its history under the carpet? I think not.

Doesn't sound to me like they were teaching them about the history though, really. They took them down to the field, made them pick cotton all day and then took the cotton off them and sent them home without paying them. There's a word for that, I forget what it is now...
