This is a normal post I would have thought araldite would be more effective
or some other two part adhesive. Velcro's fine to start with, but once you detach and re-attach a few times, it loses its power a bit.

Of course velcro is preferential if detaching is required on a regular basis.

This is a normal post Well, that was my thought process.
I mean, you wouldn't want to permanently attach it, otherwise you would really be limited in how you used it. But you're right about the break down of most hook type attachers. Maybe a clip, or some type of static set up.

This is a normal post Electromagnets?
Is power source a problem?

This is a normal post I suspect if they made it this far (assuming they don't come from the moon or a nearby planet)
and have just been jamming our attempts at discovery,

Then EMs would be a viable way of attaching whatever it is that they had a hankering to attach, and having thus come that far, I'm assuming they have a great power source.

It still doesn't address the zombie problem.

This is a normal post Electromagnets may solve the zombie problem
We need to feed a whole load of people some iron filings - preferably the chavs that hang around Poole bus station and Poole high street - feed them to the zombies and then switch on the EMs. The zombies will then be sucked to and held by the electromagnets and the problem will be solved.
