all this shows is that
Obama's staff have got a top class comedy writing team on the payroll now. You realise he never wrote these gags right? his ability to deliver them including scripted adlibs shows how well rehearsed they were. it's they're ability to do what they're told that makes them successful presidents

a top class writing team, but it doesn't blind me from his performance in office. He is one of the best PRs for the big business and war party, they've ever had. Certainly better than the last PR guy they had, Bush the chimp.

there's something to be said for delivery and timing, rehearse all you want, if you don't have a knack for telling the gags, they're just going to fall flat. Maybe he didn't write those jokes, maybe he was rehearsing one-liners while touring through the Alabama tornado devastation yesterday, but it takes more than just some good material and a little practice to make something like that work, you need a sense of humor, and I see one here.
Edit: Also, check out other presidents when they try this, it almost always looks forced and stiff.
