The Sweeney vs Miami Vice
I made this!
Just a silly idea I had about how the glamorous stock footage in the Miami Vice opening titles would look if they used the same style for The Sweeney.
Interestingly (for saddos like me), the Miami Vice titles didn't feature the stars or clips from the show at all, an unusual decision compared to other 80s shows, but I couldn't resist putting Thaw and Waterman in there.

The absolute lack of glamour of 70s London makes this work.
Nice work!

The glitz and the glamour of the 1970's...
Wasn't it fucking shite.

Best Sweeny quote ever
George goes around to Reagan's house to get him out of bed. Reagan throws his legs out of bed and cracks the seal on a bottle of whisky.
George:"'ere guv'nor isn't it a bit early for that?"
Reagan:"Yeah your right, let's just drink it down to the label."
Class!

That was great!
If depressingly grim. There's just something about 70's British footage that makes it all so dismal and gloomy.
It wasn't, I was there, we had a heatwave and everything!

Nice one.
I can very much remember the drabness of of London in that era. So many shades of grey and brown. Like an early PS3 game. Have a click.
Once made a similar vid about a place I lived for a while: www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1Yjojy2afQ
