I'm not sure they were taken in exactly the same place
Looking at the Google Streetview one, the phone cable stretches across the road a couple of driveways away. On the after, it's laying across the road by the photographer. That would also tally with the apparent move of the bottom of the dip in the road.
Still impressive though.
