I was looking at it very critically, trying to see how he's using it with the aim of getting food.
But I don't see it, WiL. When he does it on the side roof, and it doesn't slide, he moves it to the other surface again, where it does slide. If he was looking for a surface to put it on in order to inspect it for possible food, he wouldn't do that.
He also doesn't even glance at the track it leaves in the snow, so he's also unlikely to be using it with the aim of uncovering anything.
He's playing.
