
I've got shitloads of work to do AND brought in a standalone custom step-sequencer, to finish off a track I'm working on....

Declare it to be your procrastination of preference.
The game is so... horrid that there's a wiki for it (magma wiki it's called) - not a walkthrough guide or anything, nono, a wiki.
You'll get so pissed off when you fuck up your building plans or goblins steal all your children that you'll be glad to get back to work.
I spent the ingame equivilant of a month just watching my dwarfs go from wood and rock to iron to see how the system works and where the kinks in the chain are. I've not even tried steel yet, I'm dreading reassigning all my stockpiles again.
