Raymond Blanc helpfully *cough* translating a French lady's English. Her facial expression is priceless

We just found it hilarious that Raymond with his strong accent felt the need to translate into English the lady's already clear English. Maybe it's just me (and the husband).
I'll get me coat. :o)

I thought maybe she said a rude in French or something... but yeah, I did notice what you said - kind of like when American shows show subtitles for strong accented Brits.

Mr Blanc felt a bit upstaged cos she's got more charisma than he does.
Sit Raymond Sit. Just keep sponsoring those Tesco Special Pain Aux Chocolate like a good boy.

Bloomin' fantastic stuff - worth the entry price for a cheese souffle pie alone.
Edit: And his young female chef is lovely.

I do find him a genuinely happy and likeable chap with an infectious enthusiasm for food.

Regardless of if he is at the stove, it is a sure thing that his philosophy would carry through.
Apparently he was something of a twunt whilst striving for his second star. In a volte-face, he now makes an effort when being re-introduced to colleagues from that era to apologise for his despicable behaviour. Stranger still, the people I met who told me this (albeit only the two) are adamant that he was a stand up guy even then. Sacre bleu!

Did anyone else see the episode on another series with him where he went shooting in England? He said "There is nothing better than shooting peasants in the face". Everyone just hung their heads and assumed he meant pheasants - he so did not! He plays it dumb but is far from it. We love his stuff.
