But anyway, sure I know how much the Koran means to many Muslims and I was displaying false ignorance about this. There is a great difference between a Muslim and an Islamist though. The latter get these headlines all around the globe and the former suffer the consequences of the inevitable reaction of people around the world who then tend to lump them all together, partly because of lazy racism, deep rooted cultural xenophobia or just a genuine hatred of that particular faith.
My clumsily made point is sadly loads of peaceful people all over the place will suffer because of this action - action by the person who burned that book and also the murders of other people by individuals who especially loved the aforementioned book. The overall reaction to burning a book, even this hyper special book, is maybe something that needs to be put into a more reasonable manner which is led by the senior member of that religion's global community so that the actions of these Wahhabi Islamists is seen, and globally exposed, as a totally unacceptable action which has got nothing to do with the 100% of that faith (the murderers are not muslims, just murderers). Contacting the media to express discontent with the destruction of your favourite book would signify a far more developed and constructive way to lead an educated response than the actions of violence which is something that the Islamists desperately want in order to polarise 'us' against 'them' and break down any bonds which may tie us all together, it is a form of faith apartied which the extremists want in order to push their agenda. They actively delight in any slip up as it gives them an opportunity to go mental.
Edit: the language used by the extremists is one which aims to de-humanise the kuffir into identifying non Muslims as dogs or dog shit, devils, etc. This is only the view of these extremist Wahhabi loonies which are in the minority but it is they who have been trained up in Saudi and sent out as missionaries around the world to spread these views. Islamists are not idiots, in order to be brain washed you need to have a brain worth washing.
