Because their votes are propping up a minority Tory govt. who are able to push through radical right-wing policies as a result of their support.

But the minority Tory govt was still the most popular in the democratic process amoung the people. There is little doubt in my mind that if the Lib Dems had refused to play ball and we had another election (at that time), the Tories would have won a majority. So all this would be happening anyway.
The Lib Dems gambled everything on electoral reform which might have changed all this. The public rejected it.

Or, they were bought off with a sham referendum offering the worst possible proportional system.

Tbh, if they'd leave the NHS alone I'd be cutting them a bit more slack, but having a very detailed understanding of how it works now, and how it's going to be, I fear one of the best things about this country is about to be destroyed with Lib-dem support.
