This is a normal post Agreed.
By chance I saw one of his shows for the first time last night (I'm so up to date with modern telestuffs) and it was a fat cup of bollocks. All style, little substance. It took him 30 minutes to get across information that Ray Mears would convey, better and clearer, in five minutes. Jump-cut, Yank format, A.D.D, shite.

This is a normal post Same with their books.
I was given a Bear book, and bought a copy of Ray Mear's first book, The Survival Handbook. Ray's is more concise, better laid out, less patronising and full of much more interesting stuff.

Did you know you can tan the hide of an animal by treating the defleshed skin with it's own boiled brain? Mazin'.

This is a normal post did you know you can make a cauldren out of a hide?
So long as the water has soaked into the skin you can hang it over a fire and boil water/make a stew in the hide of an animal and it wont burn.
