I do wonder, as one of the effects of a stroke can be a loss of inhibition, if he just came to terms with who he was and felt confident enough then to come out. He needs to sort his hair out mind.

I totally believe he believes it
as such, all other arguments become irrelevant, really.
Course, sometime in the future, he might calm down a bit n have a rethink, see it as a tad less black n white, but most younger guys are pretty full on with their sex lives n what their dick twitches to so it'll be years before he can look at himself more subjectively, I'd have thought.
Even then you could argue he's just eventually bowing to public opinion n the result doesn't change, only the interpretation of his transition. It does create some fascinating discussion starters, if nothing else!

It must be difficult
when he is so convinced and others are not. I guess it doesn't help that his memory is hazy about what he was like before the stroke.
It will be interesting to see what happens to him in the future!

Again, you could argue he had both sexualities inside him and the dominant heterosexual side got burnt out
leaving the previously weak gay side to take over completely. A lot of guys who live quite happily as straight do have a bit of a curiosity about 'the dark side' and it's perfectly possible this could have been something he might have explored naturally in his later years without the need for a stroke to have been the catalyst, but no way could a man with strong memories of finding women sexually attractive make such a solid switch, so maybe this is all this is, the old memories being eradicated.
I kinda hope at some point those memories come back to him just to see what he feels about them after living a solidly gay lifestyle for a while. Not many people, if any, can genuinely explore both sides, it would be interesting to be able to ask such a guy which he thought was better!
