I know I am probably asking for the moon on a stick here but would it be possible to do these on aluminium cubes with rounded corners?

Alas, no.
Not with the Kit I have available at least.
for people with the right toys it'd be pretty easy.
The right toys in this case being a full six axis variable grip mill
or high temperature injection molding rig.
