I've been having fun with my layzor and thought I should show all the lovely people at B3ta* just how much I love them.

Roll these puppies on your favorite flat surface** anytime you feel the need to express yourself through the medium of profanity.
A perfect gift for your grandmother and your aunty Bessie.

There's been some interest from various people regarding swapping hard earned cash for their own set of dice. Part of the reason I'm posting this is to gauge whether there's serious enough demand to make it worth getting off my arse and putting a project onto one of the UK crowdfunding sites.

*Also the slags, arseholes, cunt puffins, and garden variety mong lickers that lurk in the darkened corners of the boards

Doesn't have to be 18 words.
Any multiple of six will do the job.

Caveats!
1) Long words mean a smaller font, which may be unreadable
2) I'll want payin'
3) The spanish inquisiton

Approx cost for a totally personal set of dice,
£15 or so for setup time for your personal dice (once only ever)
£5 for an (approx) hour of laser time (three runs)
£1 for raw materials (per set of three dice)

I can make half a dozen identical dice in a single run so
if you wanted six sets of identical dice, three in each set

£15+£5+£6=£26

If you wanted 12 sets of identical dice, £15+£10+£12=£37
etc...

Though oddly enough colour isn't an option and even greyscales are pretty iffy.
Black and white is the best plan.

Stuck some rough costs up above.

Any wooden/plastic/anodised aluminium items can be zapped and have pretty patterns put on.

Wood and plastic I can also cut shapes out of, but I don't yet have a machine that will cut through four inches of armour plate steel, or indeed any metals whatsoever.

Mr DukeEuphoria, I too would be really interested in getting some of these dice, possibly even custom jobbys. They look great.
I've actually been experimenting taking molds of blank six sided dice and knocking out my own replicas from resin plastic for my own use of course! Could you custom engrave these?
Its Polycraft SG2000 or Polytek Easyflo 60 resin, the SG2000 preferred, both are hard as nails, estimated harder than a lot of traditional use plastics.
What would a laser engraving look like in this plastic do you know?

Polyurethane works well in the laser.
Though if it's been filled with a sintered metal powder or talc based filler the results might be pretty iffy.

However it might be an better idea to have a larger selection of die with more and more unique words. Rolling two in your hands before casting over the table?

Not me. I would do a whole fuckin' SIX of them.

You could probably make them more presentable if you made a plush pink ballbag to keep them in.

Oh, and fuck pine. Get in touch with some reasonable woodshops and make them from hardwoods like maple or boxwood. They look awesome as dice. If you have experience in cutting synthetics, kitchen top fitters often have large amounts of Corian available as offcuts. Cheap as fuck for somebody who has the ability to monetise shit.
