But how you can be confused by Weylands interest in meeting his makers at that point in his life is a tad beyond me to say the least, he specifies his interest very clearly many times.
Also you seem to answer half of your questions in your next sentence, but David makes it very clear why he does what he does right before he does it, combined with the fact he has no more need to care about the life of one man than the Engineers, androids in this universe are NOT Isaac Asimov approved.
