Ahh nice vid
We had a budgie as a family pet when I was a nipper and, I used to let it out of its cage and then go on a safari hunt for it round the house with my pea shooter, tiny aniseed balls for ammo.

That HAS to be a boy bird.
From what I can gather, female bird cheeps are actually them shouting "NO TOUCHY! NO TOUCHY OR I'LL BLOODY EAT YOU, YOU SILLY PERSON!". I have a girl budgie myself and she'd never let me pet her like that. She does nibble me sometimes though.
