Have some more:
1) Labour is your "Vietnam" experience.
2) You can never have enough muslins.
3) Be VERY aware of the symptoms of PND.
4) You have never experienced tiredness or poverty before.
5) The first 6 months are awful.
6) Your world is going to be rocked in ways you can't imagine.
7) It's totally worth it.

You should repeat number 7 to yourself every day of the first 6 months
Also, most Dads don't have an epiphany moment ("oh god,the moment you wrapped your hand around my finger just I knew I'd love you forever") when the baby is born, that's just sentimental bollocks. Takes months to love the little life/relationship/breast ruining buggers.
