Any famous persons son/daughter is going to get preferential treatment due to name association, it's not right but that's just the way it is, if the film is rubbish though and doesn't draw the crowds he'll be treated like every other hack in da' wood.

give you a huge advantage. Not only to get a film produced, but think of the tips and experience that you could draw from. From the look of it he's done a good job. At least it's not the usual crap we see out there.
I'd watch this regardless of who's son made it.
As far as Moon goes, I won't hear a bad word said against it. One of my fave films, probably one of the best sci-fi films in the past few years. Way better than Avatar or other big budget films.
And good on Duncan Jones for making it.
I'm sure with his father being who he is, he could have done a lot of things. A lot of these people with famous parents just use it for celeb status and getting into gossip mags. He made Moon. 'nuff said.
