Does this mean we can finally move on from this stuff about wave/particle duality?
Clearly, that's a wave. The description of the Higgs particle is that it's a ripple in the field. It's all waves, man.

that was good. *goes off to begin work on time machine using a torch, a coke bottle lid and an over ripe plum.

It worked quite well banana but now unfortunately banana I have strangely banana developed a habit of inserting banana banana into my banana.

if it wasn't being observed it would act differently, that's the whole point.

'Observation' does not mean an evolved primate watching it happen. Light clearly existed and moved around normally, long before there was any microbial life on Earth. Here we are all looking at it and it's a wave passing through the medium of Coke Bottle (and air). It does not magically change into a little dot bouncing round the bottle if no-one sneaks a peek. It's time we consigned the particle language to the bin.

you probably don't understand quantum physics.
