Fortunately, I think that alcohol blunted things a bit. I mean, we work in the same department, and we've spoken since. Not best mates, but civil, and friendly.

If it was about 10 days ago, rather than three weeks, it was because I was on my way to London, for the second time that morning. I got as far as Stockport on the first attempt before realising I'd left something at home that I needed, so had to turn around and try again. I was pretty annoyed at that.

Other than that... well, it might just have been the sun in my eye.

You really should say hello, though. I've got no idea who you are, but you seem to see me all over the place.
