Pretty cheap and robust, and you can up the motors/batteries etc. for some ridiculous performance. Probably wouldn't have the lift for a sausage though!

Not flown for a while, last thing I built and still have is an Irvine X-it wing. Needs some decent ridge lift to get it going, (it's quite heavy), but in the right conditions it's quite fast. Haven't flown it this year because of the awful weather.
