This is a normal post Thunderbirds deserves a special praise
even with the massive special effects and music budget aside, it was (and still is) one of the few kids shows that doesn't talk down to children. Instead of a lot of the light hearted, cheapo shit you get these days, Thunderbirds gave kids a lengthy, serious narrative with big stakes, imaginative sci-fi tech and a surprising amount of emotional maturity. For that reason, I can still enjoy them, in spite of the relative tackiness.

The kids shows I really remember/miss are the ones which were quite serious; in particular Shadow Raiders and the Starship Troopers tv series. Need to re-watch that stuff again someday.
