Airsoft marshal gets payback
My son recently started going to this place and they occasionally play a game that requires you to dance whenever you're in the same room as one of the marshals, otherwise he shoots you. This one doesn't go as the marshal expected.

Maybe you could try to get your son into something slightly less obnoxious like heroin or bestiality.

I can see it might come across like that
But having joined in a couple of sessions it's essentially a bunch of guys running around with toy guns (albeit realistic looking ones) and having a laugh. I'd far rather he was doing this than playing Call of Duty.

On reflection, yes, way better to be active in the world and engaging with real people rather than hunched alone over a keyboard (like I'm doing now with a bottle of wine and ready meal).

Against my better judgement I was pressured into having a go at paintballing with some friends.
To my horror I actually found it was quite good fun (but once was enough).

Yep - same with me
I had no interest in trying it, but I decided I'd be buggered if I was going to hang around for three hours doing nothing so I tried it and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. The big benefit over paintball is that airsoft can be done indoors and is much more full-on, although it does mean you can end up looking like you've got a bad case of measles!
