Not really sure if I should, but then when I think of all the bloody hours I put into this WordPress guide for no reward at all, and knowing that a lot of us here blog with WordPress or are maybe thinking about it... it might be interesting for you and I did make it.
It covers writing and usage but not installation - that's for another opus when I get some spare time.
And heck, to try and show that I'm not being a 100% commercial money grubbing oik - here's a direct link so you don't have to visit the site and be sold to:

I can breathe again!
Been on b3ta for years, mostly lurkage, a few QOTWs, a few images, newsletter mention, and even a surprise frontpage. But I'm not really that active so I was nervous of putting something up that could appear to be self-promotion.
Of course, being like that is probably why trying to run a business has so far, in spite of plaudits, left me poorer than when I started. At least I didn't decide to go into banking and stocks....

Don't tell Sarah Palin.
S'Funny - the car dealership doesn't appear to have much trouble extracting £180 from me for what seems to be little more than an an oil change and check-over that takes an hour to do. Clearly my suit isn't shiny enough.

Also - don't understand why the pdf is a freebie, but only members can get the word document. Is it some kind of user-editing thing?
EDIT ah - I see - the whole rebranding and redistributing thing. Shirley you keep your original branding on the thing though?

and I know just how few people paid up. So little it wasn't worth the hassle of charging unless you did the freebie in such a way that they had to pay at some point.
This way if people want to use the document professionally then they have to pay because otherwise its branding would be advertising our stuff rather than theirs. But if they're skint, then they'll not pay and the branding won't be much of an issue.
I think that gives maximum benefit for all concerned, with the minimum of fuss. Maybe.

Then go to Manage then Import in WordPress, and Bob's your creepy uncle who gave you sweets so old and sticky you couldn't get the wrapper off properly.
