Not convinced by that student at the end; I can't see how this will revolutionise flight seeing as it's more of a parachute. And we already have those.

judging by that video, it didn't look like the researcher had any command of the aerodynamics at all
Which is understandable for a biologist, I suppose
I think it was a bit premature of them to be talking about the revolutionary aircraft designs that might come of it. it simply seemed to jump and glide slightly longer than normal by flattening itself out. It's undulations simply might be a way to stabilise itself, the way some people whirl their arms when jumping.
