Also note, that they have to mention it was a Ferrari. Everyone else would have been "killed in a car accident" and "the car they were driving hit a wall" but it was a Ferrari so everyone needs to know how rich he was.

It's the US, the death of a rich person in an expensive car is important.
However, he was reported to be a 'very, very humble person', apparently.
