I'm not a post-grad but do I have one small nit to pick (don't worry I still liked it):
The things before the combustion chamber aren't turbines. Turbines extract energy from fluids, while pumps and compressors are what you use to put energy in.
It's like the difference between an electric motor and a generator, or a microphone and a speaker; they're basically the same but they do opposite things.
