Ive not seen this for AAAGES. I remember it so well too - especially the bit where the beetle splits in half for some strange reason.
Ace stuff.
I dont think it beats that old droopy cartoon for the best 'indestructible, unavoidable prescence' type animation

Yep, this cartoon is frickin awesome, and no mistake. My brother and I still mimic 'Old Mr Johnson' when he's playing with the cat and the rattle - "ooooo, ahhhhh".
Seem to remember a 50-best show from year ago which had the best cartoons ever and this one won it somehow. Loyal fanbase.
