I suspect we're probably not catching him at his best this week.
What with his mum dying and the crushing responsibility of taking over as head of state and all that. All whilst under the unflinching scrutiny of just about every news organisation on the planet as they wait for a moment just like this in which to point out "HAHA! Look how HUMAN he is!".
Hardly surprising that he's lost track of the date. He probably hasn't slept for the last few days. Christ, I'm not even 50 yet, I get a good 7-8 hours a night and I still forget what bloody year it is.

and I couldn't care less really.
But as an overseas observer it appears to me that these royals don't seem to have much of a sense of humour.
Perhaps it's because they have never learned to reflect on themselves?
Plus not many would have the nerve to take the piss out of them or put them straight.
