Like most things,
MMA was so much better before the advent of social media. Early/Mid 90's bare-knuckle fights were absolutely brutal, if drastically (and somewhat understandably) short lived.
It's a sad state of affairs when absolute clowncunts like Conor McGregor and Mike Perry are not only permitted to continue representing the sport, but remain relatively popular while doing so.
Still worth watching for gems such as Zhang vs Jędrzejczyk at UFC 248, though.
