This is a normal post NASA have to have some amazing people
To manage such projects and have the overperform so consistently is incredible. After years in business I have a real appreciation for the rarity of outstanding and lasting success

This is a normal post It's the difference between building up to a standard vs. building down to a cost.
Combined with the fact that engineers of the first type always add a little, just to be sure.

In any event I hope that Ingenuity has now earned pride of place in K'Breel's collection of defeated invaders.

This is a normal post Here's hoping future missions carry some spare blades!
This isn't such a crazy idea IMO. Spare blades wouldn't weigh much. A suitable manipulator arm would be quite essential for sample return missions, so adding a spanner and some nuts seems reasonable.

I recall an interview with a rover engineer who said it was likely that most rover missions will include helicopters from now on.

This is a normal post To quote a middling sci-fi film:
Why build one when you can build two for twice the price?

IOW don’t mess around with spare blades and AI-powered manipulators, just send two copters.
