This is a link post Tiny fps1000 high-speed camera boasts 18,500fps
"Graham Rowan of Hertfordshire, UK has created a small camera dubbed the "fps1000", and as its name suggests, it is designed solely to record high-frame-rate videos. The goal behind the camera is to open up high-speed shooting to a wider market by offering a relatively inexpensive product that is highly portable."

This looks all very interesting..

This is a normal post Terry might buy one to go with his gyrocopter
he can attach one of these to it, and his geiger counter, and film checking cans of baked beans in tesco for radiation in ultra slow motion from the car park in his electric car :)

This is a normal post I know nothing about processing footage like this
the film maker I worked with had to use external HD's with some of his gear, so i'm wondering if your average Joe's home computer is going to be able to make much sense of footage like this

This is a normal post I'd love to have one to play with
especially as I could stick my current lenses on it - but I couldn't justify the cost.
