Had not seen that. Some of those hotlicks videos where like that.
I think these vids are something most teenage guitarists bump into at some point. The Robben Ford videos where damned awful.

Mainly showing off and too fast to see what's going on. I'd recommend a book called 'Speed mechanics for lead guitar' I you're interested. I'm still barely starting on it but the exercises are great for making your fingers work indepedently.

Showing off and all that. I think that teaching yourself is the best way. At least your own style comes through a whole lot more. I only like playing acoustic really.

But this book is great for making your fingers work independently etc. Still, individuality is the way forward I guess.
