just more new age b*llshit that jumps on the 2012 bandwagon ( due to the the planetary alignment, Mayan calender (which ends 21st dec 2012 etc) - what they don't explain is religions are full of 'end of ages' which are just astro theological terms
such as when the age of Pisces ends (christ) and ushers in the age of Aquarius - alot of fundamentalist christians have taken this as the end times when in fact it is only a change in the astrological sign the sun is housed in for the next 2100 years
it's why in the bible christ says look for the man with the water pitcher

"And He said to them, "When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters."
this was the metaphor for the house of pisces (christ) moving into the house of Aquarius (man with water pitcher)
it's also why Moses was associated with the ram - as the preceding 2100 years the sun was housed in Aries - and also incidently why the Jewish religion uses the Rams horn and its believed by some the reason why Michelangelo's statue of Moses has horns:
also in the old testament when moses (the ram) came down and destroyed the false idols of the golden calf (taurus) he was destroying the previous house the sun was housed in , Taurus, and ushering in teh new age - Aries - and so on...
the Vatican has always known the Bible is just metaphor for astro theology and has about as much historical fact in it as an episode of Hollyoaks (and less believable characters)
we'll be seeing alot more of this over the next 4 years (2012 end times books that is, not Hollyoaks)
conversely maybe the people that are building these seed arks near the Arctic that were in the news recently of every species on earth know something we don't?

why do people spend time researching this bullshit? They're obviously educated. And there's no denying that the research into the history of "ancient knowledge" is useful from an anthropological point of view. But to present it with any regard as an alternative to contemporary physics research is complete cock. Unfortunately, there are lots of people who will lap this crap up.
And as a side note, in 2012, the earth will revert to it's "flat" state, and the sun will revolve around us again. :S
