My father tells a story
of a chinese taxi driver who took him round the edge of , airport, to take him to somewhere on the far side, and made a shortcut down the main runway. ended up arrested by the Chinese military having been surrounded by armoured cars, after much argument he got released a day or two later, but the taxi driver was never seen again before he left.

had that happen to me a few times in india, but driving through the middle of traffic like a salmon swimming upstream
