Even with my humble 2mb broadband it amazes me when I see websites that take 10 seconds to load while the text jumps around the screen re-formatting itself and a 4mb stock image of something barely related slowly downloads to illustrate the 3 paragraphs of text I wanted to read.

and unlike most websites i see these days, they don't fill the entire screen. So it doesn't bother me that much.
