Let the twats go.If you keep giving any kind of energy to caring how people you have outgrown are doing you will make your life shitty and dull.
It's taken me half my life to realise and I'm still staring down the dark pit of bitter fail. If they were bad people they'll likely have stressful and shitty lives anyhow -- forget them and do what you want.
