She needs to have the cure
It's a massive course of antibiotics to kill of the Helicobacter pylori. After having ulcers for years I finally decided to do something about it after throwing up blood one weekend.
Even a madras is no problem these days.

My dad had them in the 80s
In the days before they believed that bloke who said it was an infection and not stress/acid/other. One of his burst and he had to go into hospital.

Nasty
It's not fun. Back then they kinda thought you were pulling their leg.
Also had to have the telescope down the throat at an RAF hospital, I dread to think what the RAF nurses got up to.

Yah, she sort of knows, but the doctors here-Jakarta- tend to be a bit clueless.
She'll be back in the States for while in eleven weeks, so hopefully will get it sorted then.
