I find the opposition to "Islam" hilarious. If there was ever a belief in sky-pixie bollocks which allowed the participant to treat people like shit for no reason it was Islam -- I'm confused as to why these people reject it.

Yes. Why choose Christianity when they could go off and join ISIS or the Taliban and really use a religion as a stick to beat people with.
