My boss......turned down my recommendation to spend £4,000 on new servers and software, the same week that a £4,000 exhibition stand turned up.
Six weeks later our existing server blew up, costing the business at least £10,000 in lost business and external consultancy fees.
And four years later, we've still never had a stand at an exhibition.
