Banks
Your Ginger Fuhrer froths, "I hate my bank. Not because of debt or anything but because I hate being sold to - possibly pathologically so - and everytime I speak to them they try and sell me services. Gold cards, isas, insurance, you know the crap. It drives me insane. I ALREADY BANK WITH YOU. STOP IT. YOU MAKE ME FRIGHTED TO DO MY NORMAL BANKING. I'm angry even thinking about them."
So, tell us your banking stories of woe.
No doubt at least one of you has shagged in the vault, shat on a counter or thrown up in a cash machine. Or something

I actually can't complain about my bank at the moment.
I realised last week that I was being charged interest on my student overdraft, when I shouldn't be. So I went into the bank (Natwest if you care) to explain, fully expecting a six-week running battle with them required details of every transaction I've made over the last 5 years. But no, they just asked me when I left uni, and refunded me the money, which I'm just waiting to be credited now.
Considering the horror stories I've read on here already, this is verr nice :D

Key part of that story
"waiting to be credited"
Make sure they do it!

I had a similar spooky experience
I was being charged account keeping fees when I shouldn't because I was a student. Turned out my student exemption had expired and it was my responsibility to tell them. I explained that they should warn people that it's about to expire then, so they know before the first fee gets charged.
They not only refunded the fees on the spot, they also extended my new exemption until when I said I'd be finished (well after my student card expired) and they now have a message that comes up in your statement (including online) to tell you your exemption is about to expire (I suspect wasn't just me, but a whole heap of people like me suggesting it).
So yay!
Then I finished being a student and closed my account. I have no loyalty.
