RainTropical storm from the East coast of the Malaysian peninsula. You can just about make out the Malaysian island on the horizon. It must have been 10pm when the storm broke over the island, and while the sky above was clear with a panorama of stars, the horizon was black, save for the almost constant flashes of fork lightning that would punctuate the skyline.
But my night was not over. By 2am the storm had drifted towards us, and soon I was in torrential rain, beautifully warm, as was the sea through which I walked along the shore, the phosphorescent plankton fleetingly marking my path until the next wave rolled in.
This was only hours after the giant poo failing to flush incident, which again was only hours after she decided I was boyfrind worthy, and so we could share a room and a bathroom. She saw the funny side.
