SummerA beautiful summer's day, not so long ago. Myself and the girl i've had a crush on for years go to see The Cure - our favourite band - playing live.
We get there a few hours before, and lie on the grass in the sunshine in each others arms, listening to the many support bands, drinking cold beer and talking about nothing for hours.
Thousands of people around us but we may as well have been completely alone.
The Cure comes on, Robert Smith with his trademark hair and smudged lipstick, and it kicks off.
I h u g her from behind while we dance and sing along and she squeezes my hand.
Then some time in during 'Just like heaven' the song goes 'threw her arms around my neck', at which point she turns round with tears of happiness in her eyes, throws her arms round my neck and h u g s me. That was my most perfect moment to date.
Afterwards we drive back, I drop her off at her place, kiss her briefly goodnight and head home.
