
Last week I saw a helium balloon cross the road at the lights on a perfectly timed gust of wind. Today I saw four people trying to get into a GWiz electric car. They failed.

It's called the "auroral whisper", and it is a kind of hissing crackle. Rather like you'd expect a large electrical discharge to sound. It needs to be perfectly flat calm and silent to hear it, and I don't think you'd get it as far south as you are.
I've never heard it, although I've seen the aurora quite often. Not for a while though - come back sunspots, please!

On the other hand, the clip attached of someone breathing into a toilet reservoir isn't even close.
