Back in the day...
totally skint so I attempted to create something using what I had left in the cupboard:
- Fussili pasta.
- Tinned tomatoes.
- Tinned hot-dog sausages in brine.
One word - Don't!
Two words - FUCKING DON'T!
The acidity of the tomatoes combined with the saltiness of the sausages actually made it taste like piss!

sounds good to me
i'd gently fry a little crushed garlic first then add the toms and mash with a fork, half a teaspoon of sugar should counter the acidity, bubble it off to get rid of some liquid, then add the franks for the last 2 mins. Add basil, pepper , cheese, bit of bread, drop of wine Nom!
Hang on, you DID drain the hot dogs first, right?

I eat that combination quite a lot.
If the sausages are too salty then you can rinse them off in water or something.
