Fish supper with curry sauce, washed down with a bottle of banana bread beer. I've probably had better at some point but that took some beating.

My local had that on draught for a few weeks recently and it nearly put me into a coma.
Tastes like beery milkshake but it's 5.3%. Very deceptive.
BTW does anyone else think that Erdinger Weiss tastes like strawberry milkshake?

Haven't tried Erdinger Weiss, but will now.
On a food/ale related question, there's a beer I've tried which is similar to Hoegarden but can't remember the name at all. Anyway it tastes like pastrami, not a great selling point I admit.

or a smoked beer. I had some at the Great British Beer Festival once. It literally tasted of a (third of a) pint of bacon. And not really in a good way.
